"The winner in an open competition to design a prototype school which could be energy-efficient and sustainable yet built to a conventional school budget. Classroom orientation, floor to wall ratios, sunlight penetration, natural ventilation measures and spatial arrangement resulted in a distinctive triangular form and angular profiles."

Recognized by the low energetic cost, it finished gaining prizes, merit of the extensive use of materials recycled like the wood on a made into a garden covering.
The drawing of the form took as an essence that all the spaces had the light of the day and a natural ventilation. The covering cleristórios what allow the circulation of the air for the rooms of assembly and of classroom.
The drawing of the front I included coverings to go flat (brise soleil) in the form to minimize the radiations, avoiding great heatings.
The revetment by his side was drawn in the form to have a high level of insulation, on an aired wall (breathing wall construction). It resulted so, in a low loss of energy, being therefore, only necessarily a small quantity of energy to heat the school.
The roof also allows an elevated level of insulção, besides to allow a thermal mass, which is modulated consuante the internal activities, or associated with the strategies of natural light.












Reconhecida pelo baixo custo energético, acabou ganhando prémios, mérito da extensa utilização de materiais reciclados como a madeira sobre uma cobertura ajardinada.
O desenho da forma tinha como essência que todos os espaços tivessem a luz do dia e uma ventilação natural. A cobertura cleristórios que permitem a circulação do ar pelas salas de assembleia e de aula.
O desenho da fachada incluí coberturas solar (brise soleil) de forma a minimizar as radiações, evitando grandes aquecimentos.
O revestimento por seu lado foi desenhado de forma a ter um alto nível de insulação, sobre uma parede arejada (breathing wall construction). Resultou assim, numa baixa perda de energia, sendo por isso, apenas necessário uma pequena quantidade de energia para aquecer a escola.
O telhado tambem permite um elevado nivel de insulção, para alem de permitir uma massa termal, que é modulada consuante as actividades internas, ou associada com as estratégias de luz natural.
