Located in the top of a small hill, in an arid and isolated zone of the interior of Spain, his outstanding introduction gives him a character of reference in the scenery.
His form apparently light, when it resulted of having been subject to a set of tensions, which emphasize the relation between the interior and the outside, it seems to them to contradict the rudeness of his interior, release of artificial and naked light of almost all the ornaments.
If of his origin, the chapel withdraws the importance of the building in the territory, want for his arrangement in the land, but also for the sculpture character of the building, the purity of his interior challenges to a new understanding of the spaces of worship, in the entry of the century XXI...













Localizada no alto de uma pequena colina, numa zona árida e isolada do interior de Espanha, a sua destacada implantação confere-lhe um carácter de referência na paisagem.
A sua forma aparentemente leve, resultado de ter sido sujeita a um conjunto de tensões, que enfatizam a relação entre o interior e o exterior, parecem contradizer a rudeza do seu interior, livre de luz artificial e despida de quase todos os ornamentos.
Se da sua génese, a capela retira a importância do edifício no território, quer pela sua disposição no terreno, mas também pelo carácter escultórico do edifício, a pureza do seu interior desafia a um novo entendimento dos espaços de culto, na entrada do século XXI...
